Richard J. Davidson, PhD, is a pioneering psychologist and neuroscientist whose work shaped modern contemplative science. He is the founder of Humin, and the founder and director of the Center for Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. One of the world’s most cited scientists, he is a New York Times bestselling author of The Emotional Life of Your Brain and Altered Traits, written with Sharon Begley and Daniel Goleman.

Cortland Dahl, PhD, is a scientist, translator, and meditation teacher whose work bridges Tibetan contemplative traditions and modern neuroscience. He spent eight years living in Tibetan refugee communities in India and Nepal and is a research scientist at the Center for Healthy Minds. He is chief contemplative officer at Humin, co-creator of its Healthy Minds Program app, author of A Meditator’s Guide to Buddhism, and cofounder of Tergar International.
