David Lubar

David has been a board member of Humin since 2018, where he contributes his extensive experience in long-term strategic planning and organizational leadership. He is the President and CEO of Lubar & Co., a Milwaukee-based family office and private investment firm founded in 1977 that acquires and builds middle market operating companies with a focus on long-term ownership. In addition to this role, David is a member of the Board of Directors of Ixonia Bancshares (chairman), Baird Funds, Inc., the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club and many other companies. He is a former director of BMO Financial Corp. and Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. David is or has also served on the Board of many not-for-profit organizations, including Froedtert-ThedaCare Health (past chairman), Greater Milwaukee Committee (past chairman), Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Jewish Federation (past chairman), United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County (past chairman), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Business Advisory Council (chairman), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Foundation and others. Throughout his career, David has worked extensively with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations to develop and execute long-term strategic plans that unite stakeholders around an aspirational vision, set measurable goals, and align and hold management teams accountable to supportive actions that achieve meaningful success.

Complementing his professional work, David Lubar received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. He also holds Honorary Doctorate Degrees from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee College of Business and Medical College of Wisconsin.

Through these roles, he has helped guide initiatives that strengthen community health, education, and economic opportunity. David and his wife, Madeleine, reside in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
